Hilary Duff - Metamorphosis (Remixes)

I made a filtered acappella for Metamorphosis a while ago, using the instrumental clip that's floating around. It's not great overall, but it served my purpose for this mix. I mashed it up with the Craig C. Disturbstramental for Rihanna's 'Disturbia' and personally I think the combination is brilliant.

I realise I've left this place alone for ages, and I'm sorry! I've been really busy with uni, and I haven't actually been doing too much in the way of remixes. I've done some work on my own solo project (I'm working on a demo CD) in my spare time. Anyway, these are some of the mixes I've been working on:

HSM2 - Bet On It (Remixes)

I used a few editing tricks to put together this full length club mix of the Jason Nevins remix of 'Bet On It', which is on the new HSM2 Non-Stop Dance Party CD.

UPDATE (10-Jan-2008) - Added a dub I made using a filtered acappella and more extensive reconstruction of the Nevins remix.

HSM2 - You Are The Music In Me (Remixes)

I made these mixes a few months ago, using the Troy/Gabriella version (I hate the Sharpay version). I recreated the instrumental from LeAnn Rimes 'You Are (Lenny Bertoldo Extended Club Mix)' for these mixes because the song worked well over the LeAnn mix but I didn't have the proper instrumental to work with.

The sound of these mixes was inspired by Jason Nevins' dance-rock sound, which he used on such remixes as Kelly Clarkson 'Since U Been Gone' and Rob Thomas 'Lonely No More' (sampled in my Miley Cyrus mixes below).

Miley Cyrus - See You Again (Remixes)

The original sounds remarkably like a Jason Nevins Rock Da Club style mix so I've given it a mini-makeover using the Jason Nevins Rock Da Club Mix of Lonely No More by Rob Thomas. I had to use some of Rob's vocals in the mix for the chorus; I wanted one of the synths from the mix but with no instrumental portions I had to make do with using the 'oh-oh-oh's from Rob. The guitars from the original drown out Jason's guitars so it doesn't sound too bad. Mixes have been posted below.

Hey guys. I thought I'd create this blog so I had a place to post all my remixes. I'm very interested in becoming a producer and remixing music as a profession. For the mean time, it's just a hobby.

Unlike other amateur remixers, I don't take requests, sorry. I don't have the time to handle requests, so I'll only be making the mixes I want to make, because they're generally the projects that inspire me the most.
